It is agreed that:
1. The instructor (Derek Lawton) shall make his services as a professional driving instructor available to the pupil for the sole purpose of giving driving tuition at the rate per lesson from time to time agreed.
2. A lesson is equal to 60 minuets.
3. Due to high running costs, if the pupil fails to give the instructor a minimum of 48 hours notice cancelling any lesson, the pupil shall be liable for the lesson fee in respect of such a lesson.
4. The instructor will decide when the pupil is ready for taking their driving test, taking into account frequency of lessons and waiting times.
5. The instructor reserves the right to refuse the use of the car, if it is felt that the pupil is not ready for the test.
6. Driving tests take priority over lessons, therfore a lesson already booked may have to be changed if we receive a short notice test.
7. All lights will be checked on arrrival at the test centre by the instructor and the candidate and therefore the instructor will not be liable for any failure of lights during any test.
8. The instructor shall carry motor insurance covering the pupil whilst driving the tuition vehicle when accompanied by the instructor or a Driving Standards Agency examiner.
9. The instructor will make every effort to train you to the highest standard, but can in no way be held liable for any errors you commit whilst driving unaccompanied by your instructor, either before or after a test pass.
10. In the event that the instructor is not available for any reason whats so ever for a specific appointment or in the event of mechanical breakdown or other cause, the instructor reserves the right to rearrange the lesson to a time convenient to both parties.
11. The pupil must inform the instructor of any disabilty or any motoring offences that exist or occur during training.
12. The pupil agrees to the Driving Standards Agency examiner bearing witness to any accident while on a driving test in the instructor's tuition vehcile.
13. All lessons must be paid for at the beginning of the lesson.
14. The lesson price will remain the same so long as there is a break of no more than 60 days.
15. If a discount as been applied for students, unemployed or NHS gold card holders and the pupil enters employment or leaves the NHS then the standard lesson rate will then apply.
